How to Care for Your Hardware

 

Given the proper care, your hardware will continue to remain as beautiful as it is now.

 

It is advisable to wipe down your hardware as regularly as possible. To prevent a build-up of mildew and mineral deposits wipe your hardware down with a dry towel after you shower.

 

The correct method to be used in cleaning your hardware is a mild soap and warm water solution. Using a soft non-abrasive cloth, clean your hardware and then rinse thoroughly with clean warm water and dry.

 

Please note: Never use an abrasive cleaner on your hardware. Many of the components of your hardware are coated with a clear lacquer that will be damaged and scratched when subjected to harsh abrasive chemicals or scrubbing devices.

 

 

 

How to Care for Your Glass

 

Although it is important to keep your hardware clean, it is just as important to look after your glass. Glass that is not regularly cleaned will attract water spots, which will eventually turn into mineral deposits.

 

Our recommendation is to ClearShield the glass. (see note on top of page)

 

If your shower has not been treated with ClearShield....

 

The best way to keep your glass clean is to squeegee the glass after every use. A routine of using a squeegee on a daily basis is a great habit to get into. It’s a minimal investment in time and will save you a great deal of cleaning at a later date.

 

Using a cleaning agent such as ‘Mr. Muscle’ is a good idea to protect your glass. Although it helps repel the water off the glass, it is not intended to replace the squeegee.

 

 

By taking care to follow these simple guidelines, you can increase the life of your hardware and glass greatly. You have made a great investment in your home by including an enclosure of the highest quality of products.
